Sète fishing port

Sète, the first fishing port premier port on the Mediterranean.

First fishing port of the South of France, Sète has always been a fishing town. To feel the real soul of this town, nothing is better than the “Criée” the fish auction which takes place at the Old Port where the fishing boats unload their catches. Every day, around thirty boats put the fish up for auction; there are more than one hundred varieties of fish. The town also has beautiful coloured facades which reflect in the warm water of the canal and many seafood restaurants to be enjoyed at leisure.
